Eiger Operating Company becomes largest oil and gas producer in Kansas and midstream operator with acquisition of Scout Energy assets

DALLAS, Texas — July 1, 2026 — Eiger Operating Company (“Eiger Operating”) today announced that it has assumed operatorship of the Hugoton assets acquired from Scout Energy Partners (“Scout”), effective July 1, 2026.

The transition expands the Hugoton platform built by the partnership between Eiger Resources and Jonah Energy and follows the partnership's recent acquisition of Merit Energy Company's (“Merit”) Hugoton Basin assets.

Eiger Resources and Jonah Energy formed a 50/50 partnership to acquire the Merit and Scout Hugoton assets. The assets are jointly managed through EJ Hugoton Holdings LLC (“EJ Partnership”) and operated by Eiger Operating, a wholly owned operating subsidiary.

Eiger Operating Company now operates more than 9,000 wells across approximately 3.6 million net acres, producing approximately 230 million net cubic feet equivalent per day (MMcfe/d) of natural gas, natural gas liquids, oil, and helium — 38 percent of which is liquids — supported by approximately 13,700 miles of gathering infrastructure including the Jayhawk gas and helium processing plant. With the combination of the Merit and Scout assets, EJ Partnership is the largest oil and gas producer in Kansas.

Operating the combined platform

The Scout acquisition reflects the partnership's strategy to build a durable, cash-generating upstream and midstream platform in the Hugoton basin. Eiger Operating will focus on safe operations, responsible stewardship of legacy assets, cost discipline, field-level accountability, and the integration of upstream and midstream opportunities across the combined system.
